Hi all,

I've been on here for a couple of weeks now and one thing I've noticed, unsurprisingly, is that everyone is trying to plug their products, so when you see a thread with "new great SEO tool" its unfortunately more than likely the owner of that tool trying to make sales.

I was thinking it'd be cool to have a thread where people talk about the tools that they ACTUALLY use, and which are free.

To start the serps.com free tools are quite good:

https://serps.com/tools/keyword-research/

and

https://serps.com/tools/rank-checker/

I've also discovered the keyword explorer from moz.com that gives you 2 searches a day but if you want more is gets very pricey

https://moz.com/products/pro/keyword-explorer

SemRush is another good tool

SeoCentro is another good social media checker

G00gle is your best pal.

If you guys want a COMPLETELY free tool for keyword research with exact Google search volume, try keywordplanner.pro

And to clarify, I created this tool for everyone to use it FREE without a non-sense limit 2 searches per day. Unless you abuse the tool with a very high number of requests, there is no reason for me to stop you to use it 50 or even 100 times a day

For a basic keyword research, I simply type my search string on Google. Then, I scroll to the very bottom of the Search Engine Result Page (SERP) all the way near the pagination part. See the image below.

You get two free searches a day with https://moz.com/explorer

I have the pro version which I tend to use in parallel to a lot of other paid tools and keyword planner.

I always recommend Google KW planner or Semrush, both have a free trial and good tools for early stages in SEO. while Semrush for more competitive analysis.

Don't always look free tool. Some money may put it on fast track. I realized very later almost more than five year
