    Hello BHW,

I see that most of the .edu and .gov blogs beware of giving out links in comments. So, they nofollow the link in the comments section.

I would like to know what are the advantages of nofollow links from niche relevant .edu and .gov sites.

    Thanks.

Nofollow means no link juice = no value. Still, it helps to diversify the link profile and anchor cloud.

after the google medica update in august, i have found nofollow links from high quality sites to be very helpful. they help build the EAT (expertise authority and trust) especially when they are point to the author's page. so though they may be argued to not have link juice, they have EAT which is very important after EAT update

There no exact guidelines that tells you benefit from do follow or nofollow links. That I know every backlinks is counted. Lets keep the questions is unanswered, so we can give the SEO "expert" a chance to sell the services and put the potato on the tables.
