I am sorry if this is in the wrong section. If it is, please delete this. I am new here and I am asking how I can verify that a drop-shipper is telling the truth, is actually in possession of the products, and is not trying to scam me. What are some questions I can ask and things to look out for. Also, how can I tell if an item is authentic? Thank you for your time, I hope this is useful to me and others who don't want to get scammed.

    Only experience should tell.

Also, you should search for testimonials from people that have worked with them in the past :)

I'd say the most important factor is the "gut feeling". If somethings smells fishy.. feels off etc, it probably is! Apart from that, the standard routine should apply:

    • Check out his references
    • Check the search engines for his personal & company name, email address, company address, business listing(registry), skype ID, Facebook ID etc etc... Let that inner stalker run loose!
    • Insist on a trial run with a small amount.
    • Split the payment into two parts.. half before and half after delivery.
    • If we're talking huge amounts think about using certain payment providers that offer insurance/or use an escrow company.

    Most importantly: Use COMMON SENSE!

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
