What are some ways to make sure you are not being scammed?

    I am sorry if this is in the wrong section. If it is, please delete this. I am new here and I am asking how I can verify that a drop-shipper is telling the truth, is actually in possession of the products, and is not trying to scam me. What are some questions I can ask and things to look out for. Also, how can I tell if an item is authentic? Thank you for your time, I hope this is useful to me and others who don't want to get scammed.

    Also, you should search for testimonials from people that have worked with them in the past :)

    ask for reference ... clients he is working with and you can give a call. everything else could be faked and its very hard to get a good one.

    References....start with smaller buys to limit losses and work to bigger ones...if its on a online site site only buy from folks with a good rep...

    I'd say the most important factor is the "gut feeling". If somethings smells fishy.. feels off etc, it probably is! Apart from that, the standard routine should apply:



    • Check out his references
    • Check the search engines for his personal & company name, email address, company address, business listing(registry), skype ID, Facebook ID etc etc... Let that inner stalker run loose!
    • Insist on a trial run with a small amount.
    • Split the payment into two parts.. half before and half after delivery.
    • If we're talking huge amounts think about using certain payment providers that offer insurance/or use an escrow company.

    Most importantly: Use COMMON SENSE!
