I'm still trying to grasp exactly what a PBN is, even after Googling it unfortunately. Is it just a bunch of blogs that syndicate an article from your own site (while linking to it)?

I've also heard people referencing to buying a PBN service. How does that work? Like you just provide the text and they put it on their blog? Or a bunch of blogs?

I guess I'll take this one.

A private blog network is a bunch of high authority sites that you can use to publish articles (or whatever) with links back to the target site. By using these high authority sites, you are signalling to the search engines that the target site should be high authority as well. As a result, the search engines will rank the target site highly for the related anchor texts of the links.
