What are cold DMs

Hi guys can anyone explain to me what cold DMs are on Instagram????

Cold DMs on IG means sending messages to someone you haven't previously interacted with, Introduce yourself or your product to someone who might not be familiar with you.

There are five steps:
1. Introduction
2. Content
3. Keep it short
4. End with a call to action
5. Follow up

They are messages you send on Instagram to people you don’t know. They’re often used for reaching out for business or networking, but can seem unexpected.

Cold DMs, cold emails....any cold communication means sending a message to someone that doesn't know you and you haven't any discussion or transaction before.

Is it risky to send cold DMs to a large number of accounts?

Cold DMS are DMS sent to Cold people on Instagram. On a lighter note, they are DMS sent to unknown people on IG.

Okay, so is it about the quality of my account or the sending speed? What is important to avoid that?

It's a DM to someone who doesn't follow you or know who you are. Warm means they know of you. Hot means they know of you and have expressed real interest in your CTA.

Cold DM/Outreach DM is a type of DM where you send a message to someone you don't follow, and he doesn't follow you too. Its like you have never interacted with the person before and this is for the first time.

Limit for Cold DM's is 50-60 a Day max, don't forget to start with warmup limits.
And never include a link in cold dm's. Only a short message on point with CTA

You have to view every profile as a termometer. Cold = new and hot = educated. The more the client is familiar and demanding of your product, the hotter he is or further down in the sales funnel. In that case, a cold DM is a message that you send to someone that's completely unfamiliar (from your perspective) with your product/account.

Sending Cold DMs a few years ago was an effective strategy. Today it is not effective at all. Besides IG is reducing the ability to send dms without followback to avoid spam and fake accounts sending links. The ideal would be to generate a real interaction with a user and send a DM to those users who have followed you back.
