What Application U use to manage your projects ?

Hi,
I am right now working on 5 different projects or rather I can call it as Ideas. Every project has certain tasks to performed within speculated time so that the project becomes successful.

I most of the time fail to manage my things or sometimes I forget or spend too much time on unproductive things online which leads to delays.

I am looking for a desktop application which can management all my projects by reminding me the my task, showing time remaining for each task and so on..

I am looking for more of desktop than web based..
