Sometimes we forget who and what is behind our success in internet marketing as well as the other areas of our life.

It's good to look back and see who stood beside you and who inspired you to make a living online.

I'll share a couple of things here although I generally do not get very personal.

Who: My wife, Lisa. Did she push me? No. Did she inspire me? No. Did she let me figure it out? Yes.

That made it easier (it was and is still not easy) to figure out this IM game.

Another one behind my humble level of success is a guy from warrior Forum... I have no idea who he is but he taught article marketing and building backlinks via articles. I was fortunate to read his postings, make some adjustments in his thoughts and rank sites using article backlinks.

The third person that (I would like to mention is a young guy from Sweden who used the moniker Lemonariam (real name Linus). He was the kidd that came up with the original linkwheel idea that ranked my sites and then killed my sites after Google caught that and thus gave me the impetus to figure out linkpushes.

Take all 3 above and now I know to constantly try various ideas and methods to see what will work in today's environment... IM is more fluid than any river or ocean and playing with a variety of methods to maintain rank is so very important.

    Who's give you ideas/inspiration how?

There's always going to be naysayers and people that don't understand what we do. Just keep doing whatever you're doing and ignore their bullshit opinions. Caring about their opinions about what you do for a living doesn't benefit you or make you any money.

But who are those that are positive behind you?

    The naysayers are irrelevant.

There are two people that come to mind, I started getting interested in I.M when I was 16. My brother in-law was the only support I had, at the time he was 25 and just had quite his corporate job to take his online ventures full time. At the time he had been in the I.M game for years and so he was fully established when he took his leap. He bought my first domain for me, walked me through setting up my hosting, loading wordpress and teaching me all the middle parts.

I'm no longer 16 but he and I still talk regularly even though he lives over 1,200 miles away about various things that are effecting our rankings and such. If it wasn't for him I can honestly say that I would not have even joined the I.M game.

At first it was just him supporting and encouraging me but then about a year into my venture my sister (his wife) started backing my actions and telling me to go after my dreams of working for myself and to not follow the status quo of my peers and teachers in school.

Even though I have some years under my belt I'm still constantly trying to learn new things, mainly increasing SERP positions now that I have methods for bringing money in.

My current goal is to be making enough money that I can focus on building sites for my family members and giving each one a site as a gift. :)

The one who is positive behind me really
would only be one of my friends (makingthecoin)
here on BHW and everyone one else is just skeptical.

Frankly speaking, they have a reason because back
in my early IM days I would preach on how I'd make
$500 the next day but then you know how IM is tough
and those false claims make everyone think you are
doing bogus activity and it's not worth the time. I would
always fail and make myself look like a desperate 17 year old.

Times and situations would always change and I didn't
make the amounts of money I would claim. It made me
feel like a fool. But offline and the opportunities it
presented me made me feel like the past 3 years I
wasted my life for, was for something and not nothing. Truly
an opportunity I'm taking FULL advantage of from here on out
even if I get a side job for some extra cash to fund future projects.

My friend saw me holding the cash I got from a client
(first ever) and he believes that what I do is of big
potential so once he finishes school in May, I will begin
teaching him the ways of BHW, IM, and offline marketing
and cut ALL the BS I went through for him, 3 years in 3 months
as best as I possibly can. My positiveness comes from knowing that
If I keep my head up high and keep pushing I can live to die, and not work to die.

I believe that if you fail, it only means your one step closer to reaching
that life changing email of, "you've been sent "$xxx""!

Thanks for posting this, allowed me to get that off my chest :)

BTB...What a nice change of pace here on this thread...Taking time to reflect on what led us to this point whether via inspiration, motivational or desperation. I'll share my why's...

My fiance is an inspiration to me due to her unrelenting support of what I do. She works full time and then cares for her young son who has a form of autism. Although some days can be a struggle for her...she never loses that beautiful smile and continues to be my cheerleader.

I lost my own 5 year old son in a tragic car accident a few years back (previous marriage). I know the value and importance of a parent's love for their children and wanting to protect and better their lives. I thought a few years ago, my chance to do that was over when I lost my son. Little did I know then... that someday I would have the opportunity.

I put in countless hours everyday...7 days a week into my SEO business. When I'm not doing that then I am slowly trying to learn how to make money with my own websites. I get frustrated...I get down...lack of sleep....clients calling....texts and emails blowing up..You all the know what I mean. But at the end of workday, when I come home from my office at night...When I see them two, I know then that all of this isn't a waste of time and that I am already the richest man in the world.

    Best Wishes to everyone...

I haven't had to much success yet , but if you would ask me what my motivation is I would have to say my family .

Surprised nobody has mentioned BHW yet... BHW was my sole impetus behind my venture into the world of IM. I can't remember how exactly I first discovered BHW but I can imagine that my life would be incredibly different (for the worse) if I hadn't discovered this amazing community.

My mom has been huge in the same way that BTB's wife has. She simply gave me an opportunity to feel this business out after I was laid off from my auto industry job.

Agree with download, without BHW, I would be reading shitty e-books, and buying useless domains.

In particular, one of the first posts I really read and implemented on this site was Taktical's post on offline marketing. I then read through all of his posts and threads, and found he had great respect for some guy named BTB. From there I read pretty much anything Greg posted, and got a grasp for building larger trustworthy sites, which is what keeps me going today.

I would like to thank the seller on ebay who sold me a ebook on how to get rich quick. It involved creating "sniper sites" and then I researched more into it. The ebook was a POS but without it, I would have never researched more.

If I would have never bought that $8.99 ebook, I would have never found BHW and it probably would have never hit me that money is just a number in a bank account that you can create.

Looking back, I would have easily paid $100+ if I knew that purchase was going to bring me all that it did.
