My blog SE listing look like this:

Subject title words |WP title subject
Aug 26, WP title subject is you up to the minute news all things Bla bla bla
    xxx.com/archives/1605/tag-tag-tag

I have 1000's of these listing all saying the same thing while some of my other blogs (that pull much more traffic) have a snippet of the actual article.

It's driving me crazy and I want to fix it.
    if you can help TYIA

    Stick with 2.71
Download the old version of wordpress from
    Code:
    http://www.oldapps.com
FTP your wordpress folders that you backed up.

Make sure you have Use noindex for Tag Archives: CHECKED. This will stop your tags being indexed. I DID have this problem until I stopped indexing my tags... Once you enable it, it might take up to 2weeks for G to re-index all your pages and delete your tagged pages.

Thanks for the help. For helping I'll clue you in on a good discovery. Some will call it BS but I have 11 blogs and got an idea and tested it and it works (for me) great. 3 of my 11 splogs have CC and I schedule posts that mirror the traffic stats. Slow days/hours, low post/reply count. Peek days/hours post like crazy. Some how google knows this and all posts get indexed. I am now switching over my all my other blogs to do the same. 30% increase in traffic in 60 days.

    Thanks again for the help

Been getting some strange results with All in one recently which I havent got to the bottom of yet, after the 2.8.4 upgrade but only on certain sites and IP's. If anybody finds out whats up, please post.

For best results I recommend using both plugins All-In-One, and Platinum SEO. I know you're all saying but why?

Take a look around sometime at what some of the people who are ranking for big internet marketing launches are doing, and copy that - that's why.

It's funny - but when you see something working, and you try it - it often works exactly the same way.

Incidentally, I am confused by why anyone wouldn't want their tag pages to rank. To be clear - these pages can and often do out-rank standard blog postings. Isn't the whole business about visibility, and getting your message out to people whatever the message might be?

Don't take my word for any of it though. I only can consistently rank Big G page 1 for ALMOST any term irregardless of competition using a simple function of blogs, linkwheels, and document sharing sites. :)

Oh, and I did leave out 1 really solid piece of advice relative to wordpress - never take advantage of any upgrade that claims to be automatic - always backup your WP installs before upgrade including SQL databases.

I learned that one the hardway myself - actually more than once. :(
