Hi All! I'm new around, and first of all, I suck at promoting my app. Our latest app, a space shoot'em up, has been out for nearly 2 weeks now, and it's really not catching up. We spent around 400$ in promotion, mostly non-organic install from ayetStudio and app2top. But we couldn't reach top 100 in any country (mostly because we tried Canada, Germany and India and they were ether too expensive, or the providers didn't have enought downloads (Canada). 2 days ago I went with x.waypedia and bought 500 downloads in canada, we should get me in top 100 new free action in theory, but google play didn't update his statistic yet. I also did some marketing on reddit and facebook and some mobile forum. I also did a promocode post on reddit and got 150 downloads free that way! (that was our most succesful method) So overall I got what i think is a good game (for a indie dev), a good youtube trailer, available on Android, iOs and Web (newgrounds), we spent money on promotion ect.. But still no result. I'm getting maybe 8-10 downloads on each version (iOs and Android). How can I do better and stop sucking at marketing? Thank you!
