Hi BHW!
I want to ask you for your opinion on this idea. Two versions, it may sound awesome or totally dumbfuck.
So...
Lets begin from scratch.
What if I build an website from some free service like Wix and add my country domain to it, so it may sound like legit domain to local people. Website would be about products I collect on Amazon/ebay etc in certain niche and put items pictures on my website and advertise it there with my affiliate link ofcourse. Thats pretty normal I believe. BUT, the advertisment of the website... Thats the thing, what If I advertise it "offline"?
What I mean... I mean that I create ads in Photoshop or whatsoever and print myself stickers fo it.
Then I would go outside and stick them in public places. Like there where are taxi drivers cards, on bus stations, train stations etc. So many people will see it and propably if lucky they will go to my page and so on. But the "offline" advertisment is the thing. I have lot of time to travel and I love travelling around the country so I can stick them all over the country on certain places.

What do you think about this idea guys...?

How often do you go to some random website these days because you saw a sticker for it on some bathroom wall? I'm an entrepreneur, so not trying to bust your idea bubble. But unless you have a good domain name, and a clear message for why they would go there - getting someone to remember it, or go there is very tuff these days. In my opinion.

It won't work. How many times have you visiting websites from billboards or TV commercials?

If the ROI is worth it, go for it.
Like the poster above said, it needs to be catchy so people would visit the site. No one randomly types in a URL found on a door.

How about you try a QR code instead. Everyone uses their phone and if that automatically sends them to the site for a discount or something, then they may want to visit it.

This has been done since the net started, so not new. A friend of mine made fake vouchers and left them " by accident " in various places like buses etc.

I actually see at least 10-15 different websites name each day on my way to the university and tbh I don't give a single fuck about them and never visited one of those sites. I don't know anyone who ever did this. People are doing this massively already and you have to be special to have people visit your page. A small sticker won't do anything.

Start a porn site and post stickers on bathroom stalls around town.

Why not just go for it. If you can craft yourself a nice sticker/poster or whatever, just do it. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't, but buying a thousand stickers is not expensive and if it works, fine. If it doesn't, whatever.

Just don't miss the opportunity just because people tell you that it doesn't work. Because they don't know your situation. Maybe it works in your area. By this way of thinking spam shouldn't work either because nobody I know ever clicked on a spam link. But apparently it does work

Maybe it will work on some Mobile content. But I don't think this way is effective.
