What do you guys think about NFTs?

I don't really know much about all that. Shit, I put this thread in the lounge instead of the cryptocurrency section because I'm not even sure if NFT is crypto or not. That's how much I don't know :p

But I get the picture of what it is, sort of, and today I stumbled upon a video of Alex Becker talking about NFTs in relation to gaming, and now another video of Kevin O'Leary talking about NFTs in relation to some faggy watches and whatnot. Here you go:

But in both cases it makes sense to me, and so okay, big things happening and bigger things coming.

But what how where do you invest in? What's the game?

Good if you enough what you are doing. Buying 100 in hopes of 1 hitting it big is a strategy I have heard people talking about lol

Gaming NFTs are the big trend right now, ride the wave

It can go up, it can go down. It's like any type of contemporary art: The values aren't fixed, so you're taking on a risk.” What an NFT can be varies widely

I think they have some potential, especially ones that have functionality like the Bored ape yacht club that give you access to certain features on their website if you have ownership of one of their NFTs. I feel like I missed the boat a bit with the most popular ones as I looked into it too late and saw the insane resale value on some of them (Like 80-100 ETH) major potential to hold and flip for insane profits. There is a ton of projects that people make and some just completely flop and are worthless and I think the market will become majorly saturated with time and the values will plummet. The other problem is that projects with limited number releases can be easily targeted by bots that will mint and buy up the supply. Similar to crypto in a way with people buying in for low and making insane gains from holding on to stuff for a bit. Think I'm happy to sit it out for now as seems way to risky with some, unless you are willing to do a lot of research into upcoming projects or have a lot of cash to play with.

To me it's no different than playing poker.

It's still gambling, but research / knowledge gives you a massive massive edge.

I have no idea where the wave is :( :D
right now, the wave is in solana, in FTX in the near future. as long as the cycle doesn't end in some abrupt way, alameda's party is just halfway there. aurory really looking like a blue chip after a ugly dip; the room looks like a promising mint.
edit: not dissing eth NFTs. just saying solana is beginner-friendly because fees.

A lot of luck is involved in NFT. mystery boxes get sold in seconds because of this.
