Hi,
while navigating most of the topics here I often read about the use of "anti-detect" browser
Can I know what do you mean with that?
What are they and what are the common use cases? How do they work?
Thank!

The sites you access try to gather you computers fingure print. The anti detect browser prevents that and instead return fake figure prints to the site. Now with that you can access any site 5 10 20 100 times at the same time. Got it? Ex goligin, multilogin, adspower, dolphinanti.

Instead of having multiple computers with chrome browsers on each you can have one anti detect browser with multiple profiles on one computer. This makes it seem like every profile is on a unique computer

People use antidetect browser for managing many accounts without getting flagged.

An anti-detect browser is a tool that hides your identity online by changing information such as device details, IP address, language, and timezone. It is commonly used to manage multiple accounts without getting blocked, run ads from different profiles in traffic arbitrage, maintain privacy by hiding digital fingerprints, and perform automation or data scraping undetected.

antidetect browsers basically let you pretend you have 10 different computers while you’re just sitting there with one old laptop. people use them to run multiple accounts without sites connecting the dots.
stuff like hidemyacc, multilogin, gologin… they make each browser profile look unique, and you pair that with good proxies so your IPs don’t snitch on you. handy if you do ads, affiliate, or just don’t wanna get banned every other day.

An antidetect browser is built to spoof or randomize your browser fingerprint, including user agent, canvas, WebGL, timezone, language, and more, so that each session appears to come from a completely different, unrelated user. This makes it harder for platforms to detect multiple accounts or link activity through fingerprinting.
Common use cases include managing multiple accounts across the same platform (Google, TikTok, Facebook, etc.), cloaking, profile farming, or stealth automation. These browsers allow you to create isolated browser profiles, each with its own unique fingerprint, making tracking and bans significantly harder.
When paired with mobile proxies, it becomes even more effective, as you combine a spoofed browser identity with a legitimate mobile IP and geolocation.

A traditional browser (like Chrome or Firefox) gives websites a lot of identifying information such as:

  • Your IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Screen resolution
  • Installed fonts, extensions, language, time zone, etc.

They can be useful if you need to manage multiple accounts, especially social media

An anti-detect browser is basically a browser in disguise it lets you pretend you're a totally different person online. Think of it as putting on a digital fake mustache, wig, and sunglasses.
It changes things like your IP, device fingerprint, cookies, fonts, screen size, even GPU info. So to websites, each session looks like it's from a brand-new, legit human. Not a dude running 20 Facebook accounts from his bedroom.
Use cases:
Running multiple ad accounts
Avoiding bans on social media platforms
Web scraping without getting blocked
Affiliate marketing, especially in gray areas

Just a form of masking your identity for multiple profile management. I would suggest AdsPower or Dolphin, since they offer trial plans so its easier if you are beginner

they work to some degree. so if your aim is managing a dozen accounts at the same time, these browsers are good for you. i'm not diving into how they work because other users have explained it in detail above. but reddit regularly restricts access to their website for anti-detect browsers, so i'm not sure how logical it is to build your business strategy around them.

Browser to help you run many accounts without them getting linked together. very useful if you need to manage multiple accounts

Anti-detect browsers are designed to mask your online identity by modifying various browser and system parameters, making it more difficult for websites to track you through browser fingerprinting

In simple language, it's to avoid being detected as browsers running from a single machine. Whatever attributes sites can use to detect a browser, it spoofs them and makes it look like they are different.
