I found out this morning when I went to class that my instructor had died 2 days ago in a motorcycle accident - at 2 in the morning - and that speed and alcohol appeared to be the cause. This was the 4th class that I've had with him in the last 2 years and I have to say that he was really good at what he taught. (and no, I'm not just saying that because he's dead). It just sucks because people who are foolish with their lives have no idea the effect they have on the people that are left behind - and I'm just one of his students. What's his family going through??? People, there are two lessons to be learned here: 1) don't drink and drive/ride. It's bad enough that you end up dead on the side of the road - think of your family. 2) Live your life like it could end tomorrow - because you never know when it could. Any of us could be hit by a truck next week. Don't live in fear of that, but make your days count for something. RIP Mr. S... you WILL be missed... At least by me.
