Recently got accepted into eBays affiliate program. Kind of took me by surprise but I thought I can use little bits of extra income so I basically went on a facebook group promoting some random item by pretending I had interest in buying it. I got lucky and got 3 random buys unrelated to what I was advertising (I can tell they were unrelated because the item I advertised was far more expensive then the sales I made), what other weird ways do you guys know of that could be used to, ahem, "get" people to click amazon and ebay affiliate links to use their 1 day cookie rule.

that's called backoffer and it was set by cpa network you are promoting , it's not unrelated as you think but generally surfers will buy the less expensive items specially if the offer was rotated by geolocation to lower tier country . i'm not sure why using extreme examples to explain something simple or it could be how the forum think.

Not gonna lie to you I didn't know the term was "backoffer", but generally I noticed giving people methods you used will help them devise their own methods which is part of the point of this forum, so I did so. Way more interactive then "Hey guys tell me some methods".

A couple of months back I tried to scrape expired domains from youtube descriptions and point the traffic directly to the amazon affiliate program. Getting clicks but not a single conversion. Maybe I bought the wrong domains.

Yeah ebay affiliate seemed to be a numbers game. I basically hope the people clicking are from US and use ebay.

If you have a YouTube channel, you could do promotions on YouTube.
