I hand created some buffer sites with about 5-7 pages of unique content on each one. I have one main article that all of the other articles link to. The main article is the only one with the external link. Each page on the buffer site was SEO'd for a specific keyword related to the main article on the same site.

When I check rankings for the main page on each buffer site the internal page which is targeting a similar but not the same keyword outranks it for every buffer site. I've even seen where 2 inner pages are outranking the main page keywords.

I take that back. One of them is the exception to the above now. Just checked one I forgot.

All of the pages have been backlinked with around 150-300 links showing up in YSE for each buffer site.

It's like google doesn't like the main page with the external link to my money site. I also haven't been able to get my site to budge for the keyword I'm targeting on these buffer sites.

Each site is about 1.5 months old and all are indexed except for the stupid xanga site which just refuses to index properly.

The SEO is near perfect for each site with img alt tags, bold/underline kws, anchor text links. Really the only thing I forgot to do when I set them up is have an external link to an authority site.

Anyone have any ideas wtf is going on?

Yeah my keywords are everywhere right now, I even have high tier leveled web 2.0 properties and almost at 100% unique content, Google is messy

    Google's jumped the shark!
It's just a glorified ad agency who's entire business model is placing themselves as a buffer between original content and the reader, and covering it all in adverts.
Added to which, their ill thought out monopoly has resulted in an entire breed of unscrupulous internet marketers who's main road to success is playing Google's deadly game :D
(Looking at it historically you could well argue that Googles greatest success came when they just copied whatever Yahoo was doing, now they've over taken them they seem to be totally without focus...)

I backlinked all of the pages with links from AMR, SB, and some profile links. Every page shows backlinks.

I had a similar problem with a site of mine where an internal page with only duplicate/scraped content out ranking my home page for it's keyword.

Google just has me scratching my head lately.

I'm trying to stay from using amr at the moment, the author name gives a footprint to the most complex wheels/webs/pyramids

It's ok for small burst to one site under one account I have noticed

Yes I've been avoiding everything recently and just been manually link building. AMR shot down one of my keywords pretty hard
