Hey guys, that time of week again. Did you get anything done, or did you take it off? Seems like a lot of people are taking time off right now.

I wrapped up a summer course, so I'm distraction free for 4 weeks before school goes back.

Working on growing my software steadily and doing some media buys. I might run a private webinar with a friend's email list.

I've been playing around with the DJI Phantom 3 4K to take some photos for a client.

Also working to scale down the number of projects on my notepad. Either by a JV, or by selling them off or just by forgetting about them. I find with JVs, it's not the amount of connections you have, but the quality of those few connections.

Non-work related, I'm flying the Cessna or golfing almost everyday. Today I'm going to go Sea-Dooing with a buddy around Lake Erie after I get some stuff done. Flying from south of Toronto up to Sudbury next week for lunch. As for my weekend, I got a wedding and a double golfing date.

Anyways, what have you guys been up to?

I'm inviting a few of our contributors from last week to share updates:

Good idea on reducing projects - better freeing up more time to invest in a smaller number of projects I find.

    What's sea-dooing?

I completed a few websites this week, made some progress with one of my own niche sites, worked on some offline projects and done some more work on my own PBN which is now up to nearly 50 sites :)

Aside from work I spent some more time off with my kids this week as its their last week of holidays, I fine tuned my speech as I am soon to be best man at my brother in laws wedding and also had my first go at competition-style fighting at my Kung-fu class :) (and got battered in the process).

Come back next week when you made some progress.

Sea-Dooing is Bombardier's jet ski. I have a 2 seater, 215 horsepower supercharged one, like the model seen below. It's about a 70 MPH machine and women seem to love them lol

50 site PBN, that's awesome! That's some serious ranking power. For local clients or for your own money sites?

    When's the wedding?

So you're actually making your own, like in your kitchen? What stage are you in?

I got that's it's a physical product. Well where do you make your supplements? Who is developing them? Do you own a lab or something then?

    • Continued implementation of a stellar plan for my current load of clients, trying along the way to map out what can be automated for future clients without losing any of the quality expected from my magical-ass brand.
    • Did a couple solid trail runs.
    • Read through Virtual Freedom by Chris Ducker, began sketching out my own virtual assistant plan.
    • Spent a little bit less time on BHW than in past weeks, translated that time gained into time spent building and exploring.
    • 15 minutes ago, I tipped an Uber driver $200 for a $20 ride. She is a mother of three working Uber in addition to a full-time job in order to try and put her kids through college. I'm all about that level of dedication.
    • I'm currently 30 minutes outside Philadelphia for moral support while my wife takes a huge exam. My plan today was to sit in the hotel room (it's supposed to be 97 here today, what gives?) and grind through some work backlog. I did so until 9:45am, then said fuck this and caught a car into the city. Walked from the Museum of Art (the Rocky Steps) to the Loews Hotel, and got an awesome shot from the 33rd floor, then back to the hotel. First time in Philadelphia, so I'm very glad I did that.

Oh, that's risky isn't it? I know tons of software vendors who outsource development and get screwed in the end. I imagine it's the same way, unless you're paying a pretty penny. Is that right?

I was thinking you were making whey in your kitchen or something. There's good money in vegan options. Get one of those meat-based powders to taste good, and you got something going for you. arnold schwarzenegger seems to be the leading brand with low comp.

Back in college I made a little bit of bank by creating my own combination "super-multi" from Custom Capsule (https://www.customcapsule.com/index.html). I just relabeled it as a college-branded thing and stood outside the gym one day. Almost got arrested. 1/10 would not repeat.

Wow that jet ski looks wicked! I have only ever been a passenger on them when I was a kid- my mates family had a couple and I thought they were so cool.
    Wow 70pmh is fast.

    Wedding is next Sunday.

Pbn - well, I say pbn in the singular but actually it's split across a few niches - couple of niches I'm selling posts on via fiverr, one niche is for a client.

But now I'm thinking about trying to build out into quite a few more niches.

Love that you tipped that driver. I feel that as well, some women (and men) are amazing like that and work every hour under the sun to provide for their family.

I suppose I'll participate this week.
    • I got a new client this week who's interested in my marketing services. Interestingly enough, she was referred to me by one of my web design & maintenance clients who I optimised a site for out of generosity.
    • A couple of my current clients agreed to letting me promote their business in an experiment I'm running (nothing "black hat"). I started it this week, but I haven't looked over much of the data yet.
    • I finally ordered new business cards. These new ones look much more professional than the old ones I had.
    • I stopped free-feeding my cat because she's getting fat. She's a 9 month old Bengal and she's 5.5 kg (12 pounds).
    • I moved 2 of my sites and some of my client sites over to a new rank tracker. I like it so far.
    • I went to my local Mercedes dealership and got my odometer verified for the high mileage awards (the 250,000 km and 500,000 km awards). According to them, I was the first person that came in for a high mileage award in roughly 10 years. Admittedly, I didn't drive all of those miles. but the award is more for the car, not the owner.

Right on. What's your cost per PBN site? I figured mine is about $45-50 each, including domain, hosting, content, setup etc.

I was actually going to tag you, but I couldn't get the spelling right

Where'd you order your business cards from?

    What rank tracker?

I never knew high mileage awards existed, that's awesome!

Ha ha, a lot of members seem to have trouble spelling it, so it's fine.

    2. Where'd you order your business cards from?
I just ordered them from Vistaprint. My other cards came out nice, so

    3. What rank tracker?
It's called Serpbook. I usually don't need anything too complex, and other than a couple of tracking issues I encountered with some local keywords, it's pretty cheap and it tracks the other keywords I've used on it accurately so far.

    4. I never knew high mileage awards existed, that's awesome!
Yeah, some auto companies like Mercedes and Volvo give those awards out. After about 4 weeks, they send you a badge to place on your car's grille for free.

Mine range from $30 - $100 I guess - some I done a lot of the work myself including finding expired domain etc, some I have paid for the domain from a provider, some I paid for a ready made site/hosting etc and for a couple I have set up full micro niche sites in their own right.

Especially the ones for my client I'm trying to make them very high quality sites.

Vistaprint- can't knock them, such good value.

Oh yea I also organised some printing this week - flyers for a local drop I'm doing in my area (advertising computer repairs) and some brochures for a 7878 type method.

I managed to go a whole week without leaking secrets I was trusted with, unlike some people.

    That was nice.

A really productive week for me.

    1. Almost completed a new site selling VCC's / VBA's

    2. Finally added bitcoin integration via bitpay to 3 if my commerce sites - really been procrastinating this one

    3. Went to my friends graduation at Berkeley (boriest 3 hours of my life)

    4. Completed building 6 PBN's. These take me quite a while as I rarely outsource anything (i find that VA's usually do an abysmal job)

Also good on @Sherbert Hoover for tipping $200. Some of the nicest and hardest working people are unfortunately not that well off financially, and it's good that people like you are willing to help.
