Website Traffic Down During New Year's Eve ?

I noticed that my website traffic today is lower than other days. Is it because of the New Year's Eve ? Do people spend time with their families instead of staying on the computer ?

Not to me. I've just started an Amazon site and got one sale so maybe only you?
 
My traffic is down about 40% today lol.

Everyone is out partying.

Basic Marketing, Yeah sometimes seasonal factor and niche will have influence on numbers.
 
I took a look at 1 site's analytics and it appears that my traffic is... pretty much the same. It only dipped 3 hours ago, but I expected some unusual traffic patterns today anyway.

My traffic took a big dip around Christmas on almost all of my sites. On December 26th, it went back to normal.
 
No, people are not out spending time with their families. They're spending time getting drunk off their asses. They can barely look at a computer screen right now.

I'm one of the lucky few who can still type like I'm sober even if I'm blazing drunk. If you want I can go to your site and hit refresh a couple of times so you can get more traffic. Since I'm here and all.

Btw, yes, I am blazing drunk. And I gotta pee.

I'm probably one of the few people here who is going to spend New Year's Eve with family and family friends and not drinking (fun fact: I've never actually drank alcohol).

By the way, now you can go view my nutshell thread and laugh until your sides hurt. :cool:
 
My traffic and CR% dropped significantly for both christmas and new year (today).

from 26th-29th was great, back to normal, today is on a drop again :)
 
me too , encounter few days back...before christmas even after...than come NY even and NY ....
Guess by next week traffic will be back to " normal "

The dip in traffic is understandable. People are either out partying or visiting family/friends.
 
It has been a brutal two weeks. Very slow month. I expect things to improve. I'm in money making niche. It's like people just stopped caring about making money.
 
Huge drop on Xmas day followed by records days. I guess people where spending that santa money.
 
I'm in the adult niche and I had large traffic dropping for the 31st but it picked up somewhat for the 1st.
