    Hi guys

just giving a little tip to guys who are struggling to rank new websites regardless of quality and quantity of backlinks they do.

so i had this website i was backlinking for over 3 months now, but it was just not ranking for some reason. So 7 days ago i did 301 redirect from http://MyWebsite.com to http://www.MyWebsite.com , now for past 2 days traffic has went from 60-70 per day to 300 per day and i made $200 from the site in past 2 days.

Please note that if you have a site already on www version then 301 it to non www version.

So try this method and let me know how it goes. Also pls note that it might not work for all websites, if you have a website which is already making money then i do not recommend using this method. It's just for Dead websites which are not ranking regardless of number of backlinks you do.

    - check out the screenshot (impressions and clicks went up)

    good luck!

It's nothing personal but it is in the forum rules. Posting thanks clutters the forum, that's why we have the button.

I'd do this simply to prevent duplicate content issues with indexing for any site, established or not. It's just a 301 redirect so you have nothing to lose from utilizing it.

For wordpress, I believe you need to edit your .htaccess file differently, and then through the Admin area click Settings and then General settings and there should be something in there to specify the preferred redirect. I really don't know exactly though.

In the main settings of Wordpress look for "WordPress Address (URL)" && "Site Address (URL)" Just replace yourdomain.com with www . yourdomain.com

    As easy as that :)

it doesn't make any sense ! it is not based on anything logical , maybe this change was just in the right time when your website start ranking , all that i know is this redirection should be there only to avoid duplicate content
ps: i am not a seo expert , it is just my opinion

I usually just replace both fields, but without the spaces between the dot :p

What if you put it into an infinite loop though?

In Wordpress go to Settings then change the site address url and prefix the site with www.

I don't think this is how we should do 301 from non www to www in wp.
