    Hi guys,

I bought an aged/indexed domain from GoDaddy auctions and I've got a question about my current plan of action.

It was registered in 2003, but as far as I can tell it has been indexed since 2006 (or that was the latest year).

I did a "site:domain" in Google and I see the 8 indexed pages, but nothing more. I spent the past weekend installing wordpress, getting the site set up and putting some articles on it.

Right now I have my outsourced off page SEO guy creating web 2.0 and sending backlinks to it, but I want to make sure everything is okay.

Even now, when I do a "site:domain" search I get results from the previous owner's content. So my question is, should I continue to try to rank my site? As of now I am only targeting one of the keywords even though this is going to be an authority site of 50 or so KW.

    Thoughts? Thanks guys

All those old pages will be removed over time. Just act like they are not even there.

I like to add 301's to my homepage on my 404 page as well.

Submit your sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools, this could help.

I'm trying to keep anything Google related off my site. Using neither analytics nor webmaster tools (for now).

Also, I should point out that I didn't get the site up with articles until Sunday (2 days ago or less). The off page SEO started last night/this morning.

So I'm not necessarily expecting to be indexed or ranked yet, obviously. It is more of a question "is it okay to continue given what you know?"

Nah, you are fine. Just keep doing what you are doing, you won't have a problem with Google. They will just reindex the new content.
