I look at my site for Google Analytics and I see most of my traffic is from organic search. I look at webmaster tools and it shows the impressions and clicks mostly coming from a keyword. I'm not even ranked for that keyword. I put it in SerpBook and I checked manually. Also, webmaster tools says "Average Position: 1.0" for that keyword.

    Why/How is this happening?

Check if you are ranking with that keyword in Google images

Don't forget organic search also includes Yahoo! and Bing. I know it's unlikely but it does happen. I have a website that was getting 100s of visits a day. I couldn't figure out from where - turns out I had a decent keyword in 2nd on Yahoo and Bing.

In addition, filter for organic traffic in analytics and look at your locations. The traffic might be coming from somewhere besides Google.com (google.co.uk or whatever else)

EDIT: Just saw the part about checking in webmaster tools. In that case, you should check your ranking for that keyword from different countries (use a VPN) in other googles (.co.uk, .ca, .whatever else...)

Thanks. I was coming up as one of the images and didn't even notice.
