A thread that I just came by while reading about something:

No comments for various reasons but I would personally not be able to do something so cruel.

I feel sorry for this person.

That's pretty cruel. If it was just a general attack at all people with Down's syndrome, then it could just be brushed off, but that's a blatant personal attack. imo the people should be arrested.

    sticks and stones?

On the other hand, I don't know how this isn't a clear-cut case of harassment that could involve litigation.

Not much can be done tbh. Going to the Sun with it was a big mistake.

I dont know if the courts should get involved or not but an ass whooping is in line and plus doing jail time is no real threat. no jail has a real general population unit anymore so even if he does get charged with some bullshit he wont be accessible to the real motherfuckers, he will be with the sex offenders and PC, just cause of the nature of his crime. So doing jail time for him will just be a time off from real life.

Fact is until they put it up on the newspaper for everyone to see nobody even knew that she was the girl from the meme.

So unless they specificly target her and put the picture up with her name, i don't see how just uploading a meme is internet bullying/harassment.
I also doubt the mother put a copyright on the picture when she uploaded it.

Are you some sort of Internet pervert or something that agrees with this sort of behavior?
If I could de rep you any more I would. So you would would think it's ok to to do this to your family?
No one knew it was her from the meme? What world do you live in? everyone in her town knew it was her.
The Internet is not exclusive to you.
One thing's for sure, her intelligence outstrips yours.

Dude, guys. I understand the meme is in bad taste but its almost like some of you just joined the internet yesterday...

I feel bad for the girl and mom because going to the Sun made it that much worse. The best thing you can do with a "troll" is to ignore them. By going to the Sun they just made themselves a bigger target to "trolls" who could care less about feelings and political correctness.

Also, nobody is going to jail for that. The photo most likely isn't copyrighted, girl or mom posted it to the internet and unfortunantley someone edited it with some negative text.
