is it good idea or worth to create web 2.0 backlinks with new and old accounts though Google is not indexing them?

is it good idea to create web 2.0 backlinks for ecommerce website? I have analyzed competitor's backlinks, no one is building those web 2.0.

Which links are working nowdays - paid guest posts, PBNs, niche edits, diversified backlinks(forums, profile, web2.0, comments, etc), press releases, social sharing links?

I have tried almost all types, but till not succeeded to get desired results in terms of ranking, traffic and sales?

Try using content with high quality you will get desired results according to these PBN and Guest Post links

Niche guest posts with high DA should work.

Every niche is different, so analyze other websites in your niche and what they are doing just copy them.

Prioritize guest posts, niche edits, and influencer partnerships while focusing on high-quality links, content marketing, and optimized product pages to boost traffic and sales.

Any type of link could add value when it has the least amount of page authority & overall website/page quality,
The thing is, most links nowadays don't, and Google is not using the same approach with such links, it's stricter,

Tiered links, cheap pbns/guest-posts & similars used to work well as tier 2+, as well as for money sites/pages (up to a point),
They're mostly ignored nowadays, it's pretty much as Google won't index or pass link juice unless the page meets a higher criteria than what used to,

If you want results nowadays, you have to invest in solid links,
Whenever it's a well-built web 2.0, manually created, with multiple pages, decent content, unique design, etc... (yes, they could work, but not worth tbh),
Or better if you're reaching out to genuine authority websites for guest posts/niche edits,
Or building/renting PBN links from low-OBL clean websites, well built, with a good link profile

Guest POST will be better for e-commerce sites

I use web2.0 for branding purposes only.

Same with socials.

I'd rather own the first page for my brand keywords after all.

Best idea is to go with mixed of links with guest post , pbns, niche edit and web 2.0 but all are with high quality domains with mixed of DR DA and traffic to looks like natural link juice in SERP.

Pbns and links(guest posts) from sites with traffic. Are those web2.0 able to rank? Create the links from them.
You can easily check if a web2.0 platform ranks using semrush.

Web 2.0 links are part if history now in 2025 and they do not give any value so it's only a waste of time and resources. Instead cheap quality backlink farms add more value but use these as 2nd tier links only.

High-quality links like guest posts, niche edits, and influencer partnerships require good budget. One good backlink on high authority site costs around $100-$500. For ranking a single category page, requires good amount of high quality backlinks and Ecommerce sites have many category pages.

So how to rank many category pages with limited budget?

As people are saying web 2.0 are effective but in less in term of ranking as they are not giving big boost.

So how to overcome this situation?
