Ways to make money off this niche?

I have a website that gets around 2k hits a day, half organic search half social. I'm currently just using adsense, but I'm wondering if you guys had any ideas to better monetize. The niche is scary stories and pictures- may be hard to get them to buy anything. Any ideas?

build a list, publish new & original stories every wek ONLY for email subscribers. Create an amazong kidle book out of it. sell. profit.
