If the photo is public domain can i just stick my fb on it or website? I was wondering would fb ban me for putting my website on an image as it may break their tos?
I see alot of people just putting there name and stuff on images they dont own i just dont want to take the risk if it is breaking the rules!
9gag for example tag every photo and 99% of them aint theirs and they get away with it so?

Sites like 9gag 'get away with it' because its user-generated content (their users upload photos) and the site TOS says they can slap their tag/logo on every image uploaded. If a site owner/editor uploads the photos they could have copyright/legal issues.

Of course, there is nothing stopping you from having 1000+ fake users that "upload" pictures to your site. This is a blackhat forum you know?
