I'm a streaming media phreak but now I'm thinking - maybe it's time to download the movies instead. My very first move towards the movie torrent soirée has ended in a bit of a disaster though because having downloaded said movie, Windows Media Player (WMP) and VLC (aka VideoLAN Client) both gag and while one (WMP) goes off looking for a codec and the DRM (Digital Rights Management) to open the file, the other (VLC) plays the movie I downloaded as gobbledygook (which takes 46-seconds)! I should mention that on the subject of DRM, most of the time WMP goes off looking for this on a non-existent web site. However, on one occasion it did in fact find a license but this turned out to be a trojan. FWIW, the movie (and only movie so far) I have downloaded is 'Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.' If someone could kindly provide assistance then on how I go about actually watching downloaded movie torrents - I would be incredibly grateful to you.
