First I want to make it clear that I am not saying BHW is at fault here. There is no possible way that a high-volume discussion forum can prevent what I'm about to talk about. This is a matter of being personally responsible and extremely careful about who you buy links from - regardless of where you buy them.

That said, I have a prepaid credit card that I use exclusively for buying links on BHW. I frequently have thousands of dollars on the card in anticipation of monthly charges and large orders, and I was just screwed out of $2,337 because somebody used my credit card number and info to purchase items from lillys.com and have them sent to Saudi Arabia. Why did my stupid ass credit card company not see this as suspicious? Couldn't tell you, but watch your ass cause it happened to me and it can happen to you.

There have been too many people on here who I have purchased links from to point fingers. I even had some negative words with a few of these people due to what I felt was poor quality work, however, I don't think it's justified to point fingers at them solely because of this. Without proof I am left to eat the loss and move on with my life. This is not a huge loss for me but it certainly would be for many others, but even if it isn't, I certainly would have rather spend that $2K on my son instead of paying some piece of shit scam artist in Saudi Arabia to bend me over.

So what's my advice here? I'm not exactly sure, but I felt obligated to make other members aware of this possibility. It's so easy for somebody in a foreign country to pass off your credit card info to their buddy for a cut of the profits, so please make sure you trust the people you are buying links from. I'll spare you the details but this seemed like a very professional operation and is most likely happening to many other members, so please watch your ass while buying links.

I buy all my stuff through my credit card. If there's any monkey business going on with my card, I will just file a dispute with my cc company.

This is very sad. Don't people make enough money from their services, that they go for such scams? I wonder is paying with paypal safer? They can't charge your paypal without you knowing right?

That doesn't always matter. I obviously filed a dispute as soon as I realized, but by that time the money had already been extracted from my account by a large, reputable business and couldn't be reversed without proof.

I would go with Paypal also.

You can set it up to have extra security features

so that you get the protection against foreign scammers.

Ironic that PP can be more secure than CC.

Pay with PayPal every time man, buyer protection + you don't reveal your CC Information.
But I feel your loss, the one who did it should feel ashamed he is even a seller in here.

Whatever they have scammed from you, they will spend it on medicine...this is what we say and always works! These people will pay for their sins one day or another. Hope you will make 100 times what you have lost!

I have an idea of what you are talking about. However, it has nothing to do with BHW. You have been scammed. You have all your credit card information in a fake page. Or there is a trojan on your pc saves everything you write on pc.. In other words, you are hacked.

Have you ever recieved an email claimaining they need you to fill your credit card information for any reason? Bought a service and the checkout page wasnt famous company? Checked the url and the domain doesn't look alright? Downloaded. Exe file and opened it?

All these can lead to being scammed... Anyway, you shouldnt let this just pass.. File a dispute, go to whatever electronic police you have in your country and show them there is a scammer who is stealing credit cards and use them

You are in luck...last time i heard Saudi Arabia has very strict laws against thefts.

If you have some proof of address or something you can report it to their embassy or online.

you never know maybe he get punished and get what he deserve.

Nope, according to Islamic Law your left hands get cut, if you steal again, then its your right hand, then left leg, then your right leg... Finally, your head :) However, you cant apply this rule unless every citizen has enough money to feed themselves and his family. Feed of course means providing the requirements on life. So, the one who steals after that is doing at for corruptions without real need Finally, Saudia Arabia isnt really a good example of Islam, the take what they want and leave what they want :)

you really should use paypal, i was once advise that paypal require username, password, while CC or debit, the 3 (or 4 depend on countries) mysterious is the only thing to keep your card info anonymouos.

Man you really should be more careful when purchasing online.

Um, if you use paypal, pay directly with your card regardless.

I have sent a few people to prison for using my card, and it was an international case like yours OP.
I have never been scammed on ebay by paying with a credit card.

PayPal does not care about you, your credit card provider/bank, as obnoxious as they may be, under law, will protect your credit card like a monster.

File a dispute immediately with your credit card company. You will get your money back. And if not, sue.

Do NOT trust PayPal over your credit card.

False, if his is hacked then the hacker can easily get his paypal info and use it. Actually its easier as for paypal you just need username and pass. As for credit card you need the whole infoz. However, I would go for paypal because they send you a message after each purchase (to your mail) and ask you to cancel it if it was a mistake. Its also more restricted about loging from difference countries, different ips...etc So, it wont stop a hacker but it will make his life harder. The best way is to file a dispute and prison him
