Hey guys, during some niche research I got good KW ans set the EMD site like watchXXX.net (popular tv show). Im at the beginning of ranking it but have a question for you guys: How do you monetize it? Do just link (redirect? ) to some tv show affiliate program? or people are watching through your site? (contet locker and player embeded I supposed? )
From the aff program so far the decent looking one I found is directTV. Appreciate some help

The most popular way to monetize a website that receives little to modest traffic (less than 200,000 visitors per month) is by using a pay-per-click (PPC) advertising program like Google AdSense. These programs pay website owners a variable amount of money each time a visitor clicks on an advertisement that's automatically generated based on the page's content.

Google Adsense, watch movies affiliate programs, watch tv online affiliate programs, watch movies cpa programs, ppi programs - test and see which converts better for your site :)

I found the hard way that if you keep your visitors on site its better. It's require more work, but the visitors on these types of sites don't last long, so embed if its possible.
I embed the video on site (= more pageviews), and monetize it after got some traffic with TLVMedia (cpm) banners and interastial.
Others very good cpm networks for movies sites are CPXinteractive, XTEND and adcash for popunders.
I insert some of the banners in the post near the links to get some clicks. You need big traffic to make good money and this type of traffic don't click much, so you need to try cpa or cpm. I prefer cpm because my user don't click very much, they look for their tv series and then are done!
Another good method to get clicks are the banners on-video and sliders near video.
You can also try cpa with some network that promote affilates like ilivid, bearshare,... thats pay per download or per lead.

Can you please illustrate that how much visitors you are getting at this time on daily basis.

Content locking after a 30-sec or something teaser, iLivid (and similar), netflix-like aff programs. There are really not a lot of other ways to bank from this niche.

get free tracking tool like prosper and see what kind of traffic is coming. next use data to see what is bringing conversion and you can bank on it

I would get a content locker for it. Get some really good high quality TV episodes in there. Have the content locker lock after about 60 seconds. This will get the users to fill in a offer to continue watching the Tv show or movie that they searched to watch.

I started out with ulock.it whenever I started to try out the content locker. I would just use offers that allow lockers on them.

If you have the EMD of a popular show, then it might be hard to keep if you do not stay under the wire. While content locking with CPA or other ad based program might seem like the best way to go, I would instead use the content locker to collect your own info and turn it into a membership site that caters to "the insiders club" on the popular TV show. There seems to be a little leeway for "fansites" if you keep most of the content user generated ;), and have no obvious monetization strategy footprints. You can stuill follow up with the "produktpushin' " through any follow up email campaign, sms, robocall, etc.. with the information you collected.

Integrate it tightly with social media and other outside traffic sources (other than SEO) to keep it a little more stable. I would check into BuddyPress (as most content lockers and membership plugins work with WP and can be usually be integrated easily).

If you find yourself successfull at this and wish to scale up, I would invest the time in learning Drupal (CMS) and CiviCRM (CRM).

I would suggest signing up with Affiliatebuzz.com and we will help you to monetize your site(s) without disrupting your traffic.

I assume google won't accept your site (because of its niche). anyway, just test some PPC networks.

take a look at MadAdsMedia and Epom market, these ones could help you (mainly because your niche is more than suitable for them).

hi guys, Ive been out for some time but Im back at forum now. Thank you very much all for help. For now on I got like 3 sites (3 tv show titles) and they getting together around 2 000 UV/day. Its my first attempt to monetize it and things arent good so far, Im linking episodes directly to LP, I got signed up with HULU+ few days ago and so far I made ~1500 clicks and 12 leads for CJ. No sales. Today Im trying to make my own content locker today and try that way for one of the sites. To be honest, Im more happy crushing G with my rankings then struggle with monetize it but more experience then better. Maybe at the end I will flip the sites since I preffer to do SEO with results I can do for it. I will update this thread later how content locking worked out.

You can try searching springboard. It may help you monetize your site.

The best and most effective is so far POP Under format.
Look at popular movie and TV streaming sites- they all perform on that!
