Ok guys, here's what I'm going to try and do.

Without using anything that costs more than $5, I'm going to try and rank a new EMD site.

If it get's to #1 for the main keyword in Google, I'll give $100 to a random person who's commented in this thread.

Also, to make sure that I stay committed to posting results, I guarantee that I will post at least 1 update a week in this thread for the next 2 months or I'll give $100 to a random person who's commented in this thread.

So, not only should we all learn a bit more about Penguin, primarily how well social signals actually work, but you've got the chance to win $100.

Here's the first screenshot of rankings. The sites been up for about 2 weeks but has just sat there.

The first thing I'm going to do is add a Unique 600+ word article which is related to both of the two keywords I am targeting.

How is the competition for the keyword? How many local monthly searches?

(oh, and keep me out of the runnings for the $100 bucks, I'm sure lots of people here on this board need it more than me)

Also wondering competition - post market samurai pic if you have one.

Also how many search results for keywords?

stayed tuned to this mate and yeah social signals works well now and sure you will succeed....

I would also like to say that it is A LOT easier to rank a brand new website, vs ranking one that has been hit by Penguin.

Once it's been hit, it's challenging to get your website to recover.

On a side note, it would also be interesting to see how penguin reacts to a new website and link building. It is hard to pin point EXACTLY what penguin targets with a preexisting website. Too many variables come into play. A brand new website eliminates any outside variables.

Wow, fiverr gigs + new site + seo = good luck

This is very interesting and I am looking forward to the results.
Good luck with it.
