    Hi,

I had two accounts closed by Youtube. And I wonder if this is because I used slightly modified (pitch bend) music for my vids.

Did somebody else experienced this ?

And what's your recommendation about the background music for YT clips ?

What music should we use to make the vids cool and in the same time stay in line with YT's rules ?

    Thanks for your input.

As far as I know I never had accounts closed or vids deleted because the music was copyrighted.
I also alter the pitch but sometimes the vid is caught by the algorithm anyway.
When YT finds that your music is copyrighted just check the copyright notice to see what effect it has (ad added to the vid, blocked in certain countries, etc.)

FixIt - They have pretty decent non copy righted songs on there in which you can purchase, or rip off like most people.

Also, if youtube gets notifications of your pitch modified songs - They will close your account normally, especially if you are making money / have a partnership.

I had a guy on my CMS use a Eminem song in a slightly off pitch - He got banned, and had his partnership deleted - And I got a lengthy message about it :D

Non Copy Right = The only real answer to being safe within YouTube
