Okay so basically I made a site about a week ago, now im targeting a keyword phrase that has about 480 searches per month. I did this, because I'm a newb at seo at the moment, and kind of wanted to get a feel for what ranking on Google means so I wanted something easy to start with.

When I started the site I bought a few article packages for keyword density and I have an A+ on all my pages for Traffic Travis, so my website is semi search engine friendly.

As soon as I got indexed on Google I was rank 14 then within the next 2 days I did some slow backlinking manually and had like 8 backlinks ( more than some of the people on the first page ) after that I hit rank 12 and I was really excited, because I thought I was almost there.

Then today I bought scrapebox, had it run, I had 450 sucessful posts, which Im assuming is pretty good, I come home from work I still have 8 backlinks and I'm rank 16 on Google.

I'm just looking for some help here idk what I did wrong, or if this is normal. Should I just buy a backlink package from this site or just keep trying?

Fluctuations are normal from day and day. You're also probably not checking the same data centre each time you look at your results.

It will take a while (few days to a couple of weeks) for the links from your scrapebox blast to be spidered and included in the various backlink indexes out there. Just keep on building links, adding content etc etc.

A small dip after you build more links, followed by better rankings later, is a frequent occurrence.

SEO is a long term game.

You have to work on several projects at the same time. Throw a website in the SERPs and let it be. Do some other stuff and come back to it a few weeks later. Dont check your ranking too often or you will get crazy about it.
