Billionaire Warren Buffett expressed concern about the rise of AI and compared the rise of this technology to creating an atomic bomb.
During the annual meeting of Berkshire Hathaway over the weekend, Buffett said he was invited by his close friend Bill Gates to try ChatGPT. While impressed with the chatbot's capabilities, he is also concerned about the rapid development of AI.
"When something can do everything, I get a little nervous. We can't reverse the process of invention, and you know, we invented the atomic bomb during World War II with good reason," said the 92-year-old investor.
He thinks AI will change the world and be a big step forward, but also questions "whether it will be good for the world in the next 200 years when such a capability is unleashed".
