Hold off on that. The recent PR update has seen A LOT of sites go up in PR. This leads me to believe that the increase has been numerical only, but the value increase, relative to other sites, isn't there.

So the next few days you'll see every noob and their mother trying to sell links on their newly-updated PR5 site for some quick cash. Just watch out for what prices you pay, 'cause you're likely to buy links on what only yesterday was a PR0 site.

So give it a few weeks until all noobs come out of the woodwork and sell their links, and the market and the prices will level off.

I agree with you.. May be we can buy high pr backlinks based on domain age.. Infact I have a 1 month domain with pr3 rank.. So yes, there is a chance of misuse..

We have been getting PR updates about every 2-3 weeks for a few months now. Many sites arent affected by these updates. I think Google is trying to make the PR change more frequently to throw off people selling permenant links : )

Next time the price will not base on PR, but other things like domain age, number of relevant backlinks, unique content, regular update.etc

Actually there have only been 3 PR updates in about a month or so, before that there hadn't been an update for many months.

I'm not that sure about that, a site that jumped from a PR0 to a PR5, isn't gonna jump down to a PR0 again. Sure it may change to a PR4 or even a PR3, but the drastic decrease isn't gonna happen again.

I think that Google's gonna begin updating PR regularly now. Really there's no reason not to as it doesn't take any more data pushed to the toolbar than what already is on current PR checks.

Plus, if you are buying links I always recommend checking the backlink structure on the domains to begin with as you can be scammed out of a "PR5" backlinks from a fake forged domain.
