If you're just starting out on Fiverr, you may have heard of the ''buy your own gigs method'' which basically consists of boosting your sales by creating accounts in order to buy your gigs and eventually get better ranking.

I did that once and it worked perfectly but I quickly realized I needed more. Recently, I tried buying a new gig I made with a new account. Placed the order and logged out to go back to my main account but when I tried logging back to the fake account to add order requirements, I found out it got disabled and now can't cancel the order nor get my money back.

I'm lucky I just wasted 6 bucks on that but I think you gotta be more clever than I was for now. Don't try doing anything that may appear suspicious to the system or the same thing might happen to you.

I contacted Support even though I totally deserve that but we'll see what happens.

Fiverr is fucking garbage. They keep deleting my gigs while there are shitload of the same gigs with broken English and copy paste gigs... Logic.
Oh, the reason they delete is "third party violation". Go figure

"dont try to do anything that will appear to be suspicious" ...or just dont do anything suspicious. Like buy from yourself over and over again. Any platform that forces you to game the system or run hoops around is not worth the time. Think how much time you spent creating false account to boost your own account. In the long term, it is not worth it.

Presume you tried using different IPs, different machines etc ?
Were you also exploiting the free refer a friend gigs too ?

Easiest way is to buy reviews in HireAFreelancer here on BHW.

You logged into 2 accs with the same ip without deleting cookies in a short time frame? If yes, you committed more than one mistake, any of those could have been fatal alone. Delete cookies, change ip next time. Or it's easier if you join some exchange groups, where there's a pool of users (the more the merrier), who exchange reviews in a rotating system. You get a review from someone, you give a review to someone else, who's not the same person, who gave you the review. If the pool is big enough, the chances of getting caught is almost zero.

Was just going to say -- I don't think he used different IPs or anything.

If you literally just logged out of your primary account, created a fake one on the same device/IP, signed on and ordered your gig, logged out, etc you're definitely likely to get caught.

The smartest thing would be to do it from various IPs and devices AND/OR have friends essentially do it for you. Pay them a couple bucks and get legitimate looking/non-suspicious looking reviews.

And thanks, btw, MisterF, as I didn't know about the way to buy reviews here on BHW. Thank you for that.

Why use fivver anyway ,you can earn more with 1 afflicate link ,placing it in the right place.

If your services are good pay the $99 on this forum become jvip and start a service page ...

Fivver = scam, just like most servise websites , they just want your money...

Update : I was refunded! Yey

Other update : My main account got disabled too! Was expecting this though.

Unless you know what you are doing (unlike me), never try to bypass the system (duh).

P.S : My Fiverr account was relatively small and only generated 16$ in revenue in total so I will just move on to other things, imagine this happening to bigger accounts.

This is good to know. I have thought about expanding my services to Fiverr and have heard many times over that this is a good method to get started. I have seen some market places start to implement a new feature to combat this as well. In one of my market places my profile now includes "unique orders %". This is exactly what it sounds like, a ton of people were making fake accounts and boosting their main seller accounts so one market place in particular took a counter measure by logging unique paypal buys to make it more obvious that someone was using fake accounts to boost their main.

TLDR >> Some market places have implemented unique Paypal buys to help weed out fake boosted profiles (such as 5 different accounts using the same paypal would show up as a low % raising a red flag to real buyers)

That's exactly what I did, indeed not very smart and you probably guessed it from my title, I'm a total newbie at this so far.

I have a gig there stole the image from others

    Never buyer my own gig
Now it ranks #2 for a big traffic keyword

I think the key to success with fiverr is to play like a good kid and to offer something unique OR elegant OR both

Yeah, that will only work if you used different IP address.

It will naturally raise anyone's flag if you had 5 different other accounts purchasing your own gig from the same IP address. Try using a VPN.

I think Fiverr is such a big waste of time. True, some people do good on there, but I have made more money independently.

Some changes have been made there for sure in the last few months. A handful blackhatish gigs of mine were disabled recently, which were there since the beginning, so for almost 7 years now.

Sometimes luck can be a factor too. If you don't get reported and you successfully trick the Fiverr filters, even blackhat gigs can survive for quite some time, like mines did up until now.
