Dear Manager,

(If you are not the person who is in charge of this, please forward this to your CEO,Thanks)
This email is from China domain name registration center, which mainly deal with the domain name registration and dispute internationally in China.
We received an application from Huatong Ltd on November 4, 2013. They want to register " ####### " as their Internet Keyword and "####### .cn "、" ####### .com.cn " 、" #######.net.cn "、" ####### .org.cn " domain names etc.., they are in China domain names. But after checking it, we find "####### " conflicts with your company. In order to deal with this matter better, so we send you email and confirm whether this company is your distributor or business partner in China or not?

    Best Regards, Jim

You can tell it is a scam just from the opening sentence. Sounds like something I would have come up with when I was a 15 year old lol

Thank goodness the Chinese have more trouble with Engrish than Westerners have with Mandarin.

Ahh yea this is a classic. They just want to sell you all of the Asian domain extensions and use this message as a scare tactic so that you will buy the over priced domains from them. They are just resellers collecting some nice commissions and the crazy part is that it works and I know people who have bought the domains thinking someone was going to actually clone their site in Asia. China knows how to "keep it Black Hat"! :D :slomo:

Thank you for informing - I'm sure that many webmasters fold into this trap because nobody wants to have competition from/in China on the same domain. Anyway this scam is very easy to be detected if the China registering domain is available, in this moment is closed only for China's IP.

how about the 20 emails I get every day telling me they can make me number one on google and they are a huge firm but they spammed me from a gmail address? What about the people who scraped all the skype handles from bhw and video call me trying to get me to download a video codec? How about google sending me snail mail to the who.is of all my domains trying to get me to buy adwords? How are any of these different?

It has too many words that have the letters "R" and "L" in it to have come from china.
