Look, I don't care if you believe it or not, but Commission Junction is one of the biggest scam affiliate networks there is. One HUGE underhanded trick that they do is keep affiliate links still active after they ban or deactivate an affiliate's account. So if you account has been banned (with or without cause or warning, doesn't matter) just check your old affiliate links and see if they're still active. Chances are they will be. This is a down low dirty tactic they use to rob affiliates and advertisers alike.

-They rob affiliates by banning or deactivating their account (usually with good amount of unpaid commissions in it) without providing any legitimate reasoning or any proof to support their strong actions. Then they go on to pimp affiliates even more by leaving their old links still active so they can pocket future earnings.

-And they rob advertisers because the advertiser is clueless, and doesn't even know the affiliate has been banned/deactivated, so they just keep paying as usual while CJ sits back and eats up all the money.

Again, you don't have to believe a word I say, but if your CJ account is (or has been) banned or deactivated - just check your old links and you may find that they still work!

I always thought that CJ was super cool, heard stories of them paying out commissions even after the banhammer. Didn't earn much with them, but all commissions were paid

well, I'm sure they are covered by their ToS, and anyway, if you were affiliate, simple delete the links you created?

Never had any issue with CJ (or their payment). It is recommended to set your withdrawal limit to minimum amount.

it's not a simple thing to do especially if you blast their links everywhere on auto blogs or other people's blogs anyways this is why people should think before they blast affiliate links everywhere it's better if you blast it on blogs and sites you control

Don't blame the network, blame yourself. Honestly, I have found cj to be a great network and have been with them since 08'. I had one small hiccup on my account but it was fixed after a simple phone call with their support. As, for the links being active after you are banned, tough. Your job as the marketer or web developer/web master is to be sure your links are always consistent and up to date with the various networks you use.

In the Beginning of My IM career I used CJ for dating offers and promoted them very hard.there was a lot of shaving of leads.but that was a few years ago. not sure how it is now.

I got an account unreasonably banned by them because they said they thought one of the publication sites we showed their offers on had "strong language". I offered to change anything they objected to. They couldn't even provide me with a single example of what they were referring to, but they thought maybe someone had seen something in the forum part of the site and, if there was something there, they thought there might be some time in between when it posted and when it got moderated or something. So my account stayed banned.

They only owed me chump change, as they've never been a great sponsor, at least for us, but, as I recall, I believe they eventually pay what was outstanding, despite the ban. They are definitely head and shoulders above the creative accountants at ClickBank.

10Hi OP is the so called "fraud" in this matter. You read the ToS, and when you read the terms of the campaign I'm sure you relatively fast find out that spamming links all over the internet won't be considered as a "legimitate" way.

First of all it can ruin the webshops brand when some1 like OP spams the inet with affiliate links turning to the webshop. So I guess OP got what was coming for him :)

You know you dont pay affiliaters to spam the internet for you............. and CJ have to ban OP to keep the advertisers :) Who wants their brand spammed on the inet by a clueless kid.

There's no if about, it's true. And when I confronted them about it and threated to expose them to authorities like the FTC & BBB, they went dead silent. And then about a week later magically all the money they owed me appeared in my bank account...hmmm...guess they thought it was hush hush money, but SCREW EM I'm tellin all!
