I would like to warn all BHW members from buying this facebook fanpages like - Referring to everyone who is younger than you as, "like 12." ( not publishing the link until I am sure it is okay to post ). I know a lot of people can fall for this kind of a scam, so please make sure to check the fanpage before sending the money.

The owner of the page - A***** singh, was PMing and posting on BHW on any thread related to facebook fanpages and when i came in contact with him, he sent me the url of the fanpage to sell me the page. By the time I checked out the fanpage and came back to reply to him here, he was already banned by a mod for posting the same spam message on several threads.

Well, however, this page had 1 million + likes, so I contacted him through facebook and he wanted to sell the page for $500. I offered him lesser in an attempt to negotiate but soon I found out that the page had no publishing rights.

He never mentioned that the page had no publishing rights, when i asked him why didn't you tell me that the page had no pub rights, he started saying that he had been telling "everyone" that the page have no pub rights. Anyways, he told me that he had already agreed on selling the page for $200 and was just looking for higher bidder. I warned him to stop and not scam anyone. I am pretty sure that he has had some one from BHW agree to the $200 price.

Many facebook newbies will not notice that the page has no pub rights, so I wanted to warn everyone to stay away from this guy and this page. In the chat, he has clearly mentioned that his intentions are to scam other people because "he was scammed as well" by someone else into buying this page.

I have the chat log and his facebook profile id if mods want to check anything.

A few tips when buying a fanpage :

    1) Always make sure that the guy selling the page is indeed the owner of the page. Maybe ask him to make a specific post right then to verify.

    2) Go through the wall of the fanpage to know if there have been too many complaints of spam or anything against the fanpage. Usually, too many spam complaints lead to revoking of pub rights.

    3) If the deal sounds too good to be true, just back off for a bit and think of the reason why would anyone be letting such a good thing go for so less.
