It's actually hilarious that there are people on here offering advice on a subject they are clueless about. These people are constantly being tripped up, yet want to be perceived as experts in the field.

Any of these pump groups still using Bittrex after their statement? Did it manage to scare them off?

The regulators will be looking to lean on the other exchanges very soon about this I imagine.

Indeed. Imho this type of things in particular (pump'n'dump , so called private signals groups etc) should overcome the coiners vs nocoiners stupid tribalism, it's just common sense. If you really can't figure out it's so fucking illegal and blatant as you said, you're just a fool. Or a teenager who just has not a clue how the world works

Definitely stay away from pump dump groups. They'll buy first and then when you buy, they will dump on you. Makes no sense.

I said it isn't illegal. Not that it shouldn't be. The SEC "creating a special task force" does not mean anything.

It actually talks about P&D's spreading misinformation, when the group that I used simply bought in all at the same time and then people KNOWINGLY try and ride the wave, ultimately buying & selling too late. There's a big difference between a pump that lasts a minute and the only people buying in and losing are people with trading bots/ notifications and one that lasts weeks/months where normal people with no idea how they work lose out.

It's obvious that regulation is coming, and so it should be, but the fact is that it isn't here yet. That's the whole reason it's called an UNREGULATED market.

Nor do I want to be perceived as an expert. In fact, I've said the exact opposite numerous times.

I would be more concerned about the taxes owed. People in the US associated with this groups making big gains could face a lot of taxes owed.
