One of our sites was recently attacked by DDoS and neg SEO (spammy BLs) and I'm looking for a neg/BH SEO gun to work out who the culprit(s) are, and/or help us refine our short list of possible suspects.
ALSO, regardless of the neg SEO research/analysis we would also like to have the same gun take a close look at our comp to see who's utilizing BH to rank. So if we can?t nail the neg SEO culprit, we may be able to set them back indirectly, and/or others, by reporting their tactics to G.
Neg SEO was launched last Aug with its effects hitting us with the algo update mid/end of Oct, resulting in a bit hit in rankings/traffic in Nov. We got onto it with disavow, manual removals and gradual positive link/citation building straight away, and we're slowly clawing our way back, however, bad links are still trickling in.
As for the DDoS, it happened in Nov and we've successfully implemented measures to repair and prevent future attacks, (bolstered firewall, Cloudfair, etc.).
Not sure if the two were related, however, I'm suspect as both were timed to hit us at the most critical time of our annual business cycle.
Additionally, I know the neg SEO was part of a concerted industry-wide attack on numerous other competitors, all targeting the same anchor text. I don't know if anyone else was hit by DDoS.
I respect it's unlikely to nail the DDoS culprit, but we have a list of possible suspects (and one probable) for the neg SEO, which we need to stop the ongoing continued trickle, and if the evidence is clear, we will likely take legal action to recover loss and damages. And if the evidence is not clear, we're hoping to at least shorten our short-list of suspects.
We?re a tier one company in our industry, so I don't want to muck around with this. I need a serious hard core neg SEO/BH gun to get stuck into this, figure out who the dogs are that attacked us, and/or identify which of our competitors is utilising BH to rank.
NOTE: When we succeed, one way or another, as we think this?ll make a great business case study (especially considering how rampant neg SEO has become, it's crippling effects, and G?s inability to effectively deal with it, etc.), we?ll go very public in the business/tech/SEO media channels with our challenge, strategy and outcomes. So, aside from making some bucks on this gig, we?ll be happy to promote you/your business should you want the media/industry exposure (but would respect your anonymity if you didn?t). ;-)
If you have the skill set, experience and tenacity for this challenge let me know your thoughts, and broadly how you'd attack it. (Respectfully, if you?re not a hard core gun capable of delivering the required outcomes, please do not reply.)
PLEASE NOTE: Kindly PM me, and understand that I currently am unable to PM back.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
