Hi. Anyone here with any experience with PTC (paid-to-click) sites?

I am looking to start a PTC site and I am currently in my research phase.

First and foremost, I want to know, is PTC industry still profitable? I remember around 5-6 years back, loads of people including myself were trying to earn on PTC sites. But do people still care about earning a few cents daily as PTCs pay at most 1-2 cents per ad. Even if I have an optimistic 10 ads for my members to click on at all times, that means they can earn 10-20 cents daily. Are there still people who would waste their time to earn 10-20 cents daily? So basically, what my question is, are PTC sites still worth the time and effort for the owners?

Secondly, like any website, my biggest hurdle would be to bring in active members. For that, I intend to use different advertisement platforms such as related forums, blogs and even Google and FB PPC, if need be. Any other cheap ad platforms in mind that I can use? Maybe other PTC sites?

Thirdly, how do I get advertisers? One of the most important aspect as well. For this, I have a couple of places in mind. A couple of sites that I am associated with. I am hopeful I might be able to get some advertisers from there. As the ad packages would cost something between $10-$50, some people won't mind buying. Any other ideas to get advertisers?

Fourthly, what kind of profit margins should I keep? I was thinking that maybe I can pay 2 cents per ad click to the members and charge $10 for the smallest ad package for 100 clicks. Is this too high? Not sure if a lot of advertisers would be willing to pay $10 for 100 clicks. I might need to lower this, right? How much do you think I should charge per click from the advertisers?

Fifthly, does this project require me to have technical skills of coding, scripting etc.? Because I don't have any. I was planning to buy a script, customize it a bit and get things going. Any ideas where to buy a good and decent PTC script?

Lastly, what kind of budget should I keep for this project?

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

One guy was giving me his PTC site making $100 a month for free, i didn't take, reason- Not worth my time, it takes time to manage servers, users and everything and its not worth $100 a month which u get. Think outside the box, instead of starting a thing of the past, be in present and see what new startups are doing, start something which has bigger and wealthy audience.
