Seems to make sense. There is tons of free content that you can give to your users on this site, and I've been researching the stuff for a couple years now, so it's something I am fairly familiar with. I'm not making a whole lot of money, but I feel like you can give people a lot simple, easy-to-replicate methods and that'll keep them coming back. I know, before I discovered BHW, I was once of the people who used to pay for content you get here free. Definitely spent about $100 on several ebooks being sold on DigitalPoint and was also a member of Wealthy Affiliate for about half a year. No reason why I can't replicate that.

I realize competition is going to be super fierce, but a membership site is something I've always wanted to do and I know enough about this subject to at least get started.

Anyone here have experience in the 'make money online' niche?

Sketching on the exact same thing. A bit more geared towards coaching and life style discovery with "make money online". I went to some of the more popular memberships sites and signed up, worth one money of seeing what works and what sucks. So many are producing insane amounts of super basic rehashed crap... you wouldn't believe it... Or you know and thats why its an attractive niche :p

Same here bros. Problem is that I always listen to what Kevin Trudeau tells - who are you listening to?

I was gonna make "make money online" membership site but problem is that I would be teaching all the theories and what others do but not what I do myself which is always not a good idea :(

Yeah, before I start this type of site, I've got a plan to start a journey thread and at least try and make some money for myself. I've honestly been on these forums long enough to know a good amount, but don't think it's right to start a site like this without having made some money myself.

I really think this kind of think would make a good JV, but it'll be a while before I'm actually serious about it. It does seem super saturated, but if you market offline, I'm sure you could find a good sized audience.

I agree it is not always a good idea teaching anything you haven't tried out before. But sometimes it's not what you teach, but the way you teach. If you have a special ability to break out e-bay, fiverr, EMD, SEO etc etc into something actionable and easy to follow and able to base it on immediate trust... then you have something... I find it interesting that 2 teachers can teach the exact same "make money online", but only one of them makes you trust and take the leap. Why is that?
My plan was to take out the many different ways you can make money online (if you take action AND follow through), make people understand the MANY different ways (BH, WH or grey hat stuff, offline or online work, residual income, easy to do but more saturated or harder to do and less saturated, invest for faster progress or grinding it out), have them get a feel of what the different ways actally demands and what way really resonates with the type of person you are and want to be and of course make them do it and hold them accountable for hitting their progress goals.

I am buidling this at the moment. Let me know if any of you want to review it when it's finished. Cool to get some input, and maybe you will even say: fck this sh!t, I can do this way better... and you take action ;) and I have to improve my game... win/win for all

    Hi,

I would start with a blog. Problem number one is that you have to get kind of a reputation. IF you would start with a membership site it would lack some proof that you know what you are talking about, right? With a blog you kill two flies at once: You get kind of proof and you might attract some search engine traffic. Then I would buld up a list. In the IM "niche" there are loads of PLR products (some good, some not worth considering) that you can use. I am just in the process of doing exactly the same (don't mind, there should be still money to be made for both of us!). Get a PLR product, give it YOUR touch and use it as a freebie for the sign-up. When I started out in IM it signed up for everything that only required my email address. Would also recommend learning a bit about email marketing. Next thing is that I would buy some GOOD single-ads from great lists and do some ad-swaps as my list grows. Get a upsell product made from PLR and you might see some ROI. No 100% ROI, but you get some of your hard earned cash back. Teach your list, build up trust and invite them to beta-test your membershipsite. Listen to their feedback, spice up your membershipsite, get some affiliate solution for it and start it. This might be the short version of what I have in mind for my own IM membershipsite...

Good luck and to your success,
    Sven

I feel like it's highly competitive, but it does make sense. Most people on here have probably been reading about ways to make money online for a while. I know I started about 4-5 years ago. Never been fully serious, but I've been on several forums and read quite a few different methods. Might as well use that knowledge to my advantage.

I don't have much experience but you can do a lot with all the members you'll gather. Possibilities are Endless.
Like you said after reading all the ebooks and information at BHW, an ebook can easily be created using your point of view.
I am thinking of writing one myself "How to Make Money using Youtube" as I had success using and got some practical experience to twist somethings that's not told by others. But its just an idea.

    Good Luck,

i currently run one and it's going great. you have to really be proactive in trying to make your customers happy. additionally, while some things can be "re-hashed", you still need to have YOUR personality to it.

Plus you need to still add value that they can't get anywhere else...otherwise they won't remain members for very long.

The hardest part is to get your first few members. Treat them well, and it'll start to grow.

    Best of luck!

Any chance I could pick your brain a bit? Would love to know more. I already built a small tribe on FB and I think some would be willing to pay a membership fee.

This is a gigantic niche, there's enough room for all of us to thrive. But i'd encourage you to create two lists. You should have 1 spam list (but you should know how to constantly recoup new opt-ins as you'll lost a lot) & 1 passive list (mine is mostly made up of ultra-newbies, these will be people who don't necessarily know much about IM so you'd have to pitch them certain products.)

    Hi OP,

It's important to consider what software base you're going to build on, and take into account there will be development time.

I read on a thread here about a guy who is doing really well with his membership sites and he drives offline traffic to the site.
