I want to print and sell a t-shirt with a picture taken of Google, printed on it. The picture is black and white of a prisoner taken in Russia looks pretty old. So my question is, what legal issues could i be facing? Have you ever sold a t-shirt that possessed content that you had no rights to?

That is using another's trademark. Not usually a good idea to do as you would be crossing lines that could cause you to end up in civil court.

Who's going to know really? I remember this video on Youtube where a girl went to well known store (don't remember the name) and accidently found her picture with her in it on a t-shirt.

OP, I am not a legal expert, AT ALL, but I'll give you my blackhat opinion.

There's a phrase "de minimus" meaning that very small offenses are over-looked (mainly because it wouldn't be worth the time/effort).

If you're looking to start a legitimate business or advertise - then you might end up in court.
If you're looking to sell some to just friends, co-workers, etc., - then who's really going to find out?

Again, no legal experience AT ALL, just food for thought.

Ive downloaded a badge template psd for my test teespring campaign and modified it a bit before publishing it on teespring.

Didnt had any problems, also sold not a single shirt (sent 600 uvs for test purpose, not a single conversion altough they were niche related :(, the design was high quality).

It depends on the copyright laws of when and where it was made.
