    Hey y'all,
I want to rank for these 2 keywords. They are pretty small niches. I took to screenshots from taffic travis of the competition.

The problem is: the competition is not very strong but I only rank 2nd page and not higher for my keywords, while I've bought several high rated fiverr gigs with many many good quality backlinks. So here are the screenshots:

    1. What do you guys think? My site is fully onpage optimized and did rank nr.18 without backlinks for main keyword.
    2. Can I get nr1 with 1000 quality backlinks?
    3. My site is Dutch, the fiverr gigs are american sites (anchor text is Dutch though. Does that make a difference?

    Thanks

Being that you were 18 without any backlinks it should be relatively easy to get to the top 3. You will need to build links to the site to help it get there, how many really depends on the type of links you are using. Just a few authority links from a dutch website that is related to your niche maybe enough to get you to the top. But, low-value links may take many, many more...

If the backlinks are quality links from related sites then you will have a chance. 1000 random forum profiles may work to get to #1 but related quality links are better..

I would suspect that the Dutch backlinks would hold more weight than USA if your site is in Dutch. I'm not sure on that tho..

Look closely at the competitors sites and see why they are ranked there. If they don't have on-page SEO and a few backlinks then outranking them with good on-page SEO and the same number of backlinks should get you past them. You don't need to have the best site to rank number one you just need a site that is better at SEO than the current number 1.

you should get some blog posts, social bookmarks, and also a long article on the homepage, i would say at least 1000 words of quality

Analyze the backlinks of your competition and copy it and then get some more!

Backlinks of high PR are more important for you. Also go for article submission in ezine and articlesbase.

how long have you give your site backlinks? to go to the first page of SERp usually takes time...1 month is the fastest for me but some of my friends can get to the top within 2 or 3 weeks. If your site still new perhaps you need to wait abit longer and watch your site performance weekly. If it shows positive performance which showed by slowly moving up in the SERP I think it is just about time until your site reach the first page.

    Good Luck!

It fluctuates. A week ago it was position 18, then 26, 20, now 24. So no big differences. Up nor down.

I think you should be fine with one quality link blast that would yield you approximately 500-1000 one way links as the ranking sites you show are not that competitive.

At least from a first glance.
