    Hi Friends,
I have few websites related to particular product but when i type my keyword then Ripoff report shows in 2nd place. I have did many quality link building but still I can't remove that report with SEO methods. Do you have any suggestions about this so it will not be shown in First page of Google.

Ask them to remove your site.

He's most likely referring to a rip off report of the product, not his site. The only thing I could think of was to admit that some people have had problems but that the product really is good... that it was a vocal minority that put the reports in...

Don't really know of a way to put a 'lead balloon' on a listing to make it sink...

Unfortunately this is easier said than done. Even lawsuits won't get them to remove the listing. You have to basically optimize 12-15 of the other sites that around rankings below it to push it down to the second page. That is the short answer. The long one would be too time consuming to explain.

Removing Ripoffreports and other gripe sites is known as ORM (Online Reputation Management) of the broader variety.

If you're looking to flush it completely out of the serps, build links to neutral sites and push it down. If you just want to outrank it, just keep focused on SEOing your site.

There used to be a method of injecting no-index into a response post, but they've since patched it.

PM me with your site/keywords and I'll give you some tips on how you can lessen the impact of that report on your site.

It's pretty simple. Build high PR pages about your site / product on websites like wordpress, squidoo, facebook, twitter and so on.

Like most others said - replace them in the serps by using Web 2.0 properties and whatever you do, don't try to bad link the report or respond to the report. Responding will bring it back up to the front page to pick up more authority. Hammer web 2.0 and even YT and you'll bury it back to page 4-5 in no time.

check out to see how the ripoff report is linked to - could be a competitor backlinking to it to boost it in the serps

do your best to get any link linking to the ripoff report removed - sometimes a few higher pr or good hub type links can drop it from the serps

You NEVER respond to an online complaint directly, it gives the complainer credibility. If you do not respond, he could just be an asshole. Respond, and you verify the complaint, regardless of how you want to appear.

Had to do this one before... Set up press releases based on the keywords that are triggering the problem... Then you need to get creative. Come up with a useful press release that makes sense, for instance if XYZ company is a scam... come up with XYZ Company Scam Prevetnion Software as a press release... This will work and you can easily push these types of ripoff reports down the second page and even farther. It takes some finesse and creativity to get it done but I have personally done this one before.
