The reason behind people buying so many acc's is the following:

YouTube have a limit of 2 comments every 10 minutes. If you exceed that limit you have to fill in a captcha.

Most Youtube Comment Spammers can't break captchas, so they have to change the account every 2 comments

Hence the reason for so many accounts. With 50 accounts you can spam 100 posts/videos.

lol yeah actually the main reason behind this is implementation of Phone Verfication and mass Deactivation of spammy accounts so as a result you need more accounts lol
