Want to build Niche targeted mailing list with AdWords

Hi chaps,

As the title suggests I'm going to build a niche targeted mailing list using AdWords' text ads (don't suggest me other PPC/Solo Ads).

I'd like to ask
If you wanted to advertise and build the list for 2 or three niches with a budget of $300-500 for each what niches would you go for?

Would you choose a general niche or target tightly (like advertising for particular product)?
Would you choose Aweber or other such software for collecting and sending out emails or would you opt for plugin/this sort of thing and use old fashioned way for sending the emails?

Would I get better results with using only opt-in optimized squize page with nearly no text on it (apart from bullet points and such) (do AdWords allow this kind of pages?) or using a LP with decent content on it? (By results I mean opt-in percentage).

Any help will be hugely appriciated.

Would you go with very broad niches like payday or weight loss?

Forgot to mention above $300-500 is a daily budget for each.

Tighter niche targeting is always going to convert better than broader targeting.

I use aweber for my lists. For me is very easy to use and set up quickly. Although I have no experience of alternatives.

Your goal is to build lists so optimize your page to get the sign up.
