Hi everyone, It's been a long time I am trying my health blog to rank higher but getting down again and again.
I wanted to make this blog authority
Right now i have health blog having 300+ posts words 500 to 2000 each post around.
Blog age 2 to 3 years old.
In starting i was not trying to rank any keyword i use to find only low searches keyword with low competition and then right down blog post on it.
but after that, i am finding good searches keyword as well.

After a year passed my website started ranking with good number of keywords and keep on getting new keywords in ahref tool 4000+ but after last year june, I don't know why this website keep on losing keyword from Google. Now only 354 left in 2019 which is sad but still i am kept on adding new keywords weekly two or three.

Regarding SEO i have not done much work just normal sharing few posts and home page. Never bought any PBN for this.

please take a look at my stats from ahrefs

Hi @pradep89,

Sorry to hear about that - Well, you said yourself that you haven't done much SEO, so that could be one of the reasons since others are running their hidden PBNs probably to keep up with the competition and expected link juice.

Another point to consider would be the recent Google medic update. A lot of SEOs have reported the same kind of decreasement, have a quick google search and you will see that this is a global effect which took place at the beginning of January 2019 - Check this discussion on BHW.

In case you don't like to give up your project, I would give it a try with a powerful Diversity / PBN / Guest Post link combo. This should give your site a nice boost and hopefully bring things back on track, at least worth a try!

Feel sorry about your lost, but health niche, even 10 years ago, have no spaces for normal Joe, except you are another healthline.

And just think about build an authority health website after the medic update, just move on...

I have same problem on some websites/blogs that i work with and it happen to me multiple times even on same domain in period of 3-4 years. Link packages from BHW or whatever probably wont help you to recover so don't waste money on that. I tried to investigate what cause this and i don't know exactly the reason why you lose search visibility and keywords, but i think it have to do something with bad content, although i not have proof for this. In my niche i noticed this problem on other websites too so it not affect only health niche, there are just a few high quality websites (my competition) where i didn't see such drops in keywords and traffic and honestly they have really amazing content / guides + natural incoming links. I monitor some of them and for example they will publish just a few articles monthly, but when you read them they are so good you immediately want to share or link to them. Now you say you have 300 articles and invested around $3,000 USD, if you didn't write yourself this means that your content is probably bad and nothing special and in health niche ( which is one of the hardest ) such content simply wont work.. So, even if you recover and probaly you will in a few months then again after some time you will drop.. My advice would be start the website again on new domain, re-use the content you can and add less but much higher quality articles spend $100-200 for 1 article find niche expert to write it not $10-15 for some rewrite and whenever you publish new article focus on it and spend some time/money promoting it on social media, outreach to other relevant sites, buy a few guest posts ( always when doing link building send some links to homepage and some to article page) and do whatever else you know.. and thats it, slow process but maybe you will success in building some mini authority site.
Now if you dont want to do this bored or think its a waste of time, money.. here is what you can try (this sometimes helped me) update posts, do 301, get new links but be careful what you buy..there are many fake reviews for seo services

Thank you for your suggestion i will think about the point you said. I was monitoring many big health blog as well. I saw huge drop in their ranking as well last year. mine was not that much but their ranking droped almost 500k keywords in aherf. I was thinking to build high reach in social media as well. i am thinking to rewrite articles for some of ranking keywords. and do some SEO for them if they start ranking i will do the same for all of my posts. Else i will leave it as it is.

if there anyone else please help me to take a final decision

Do you have any other traffic sources or only depends on organic? If you already have any other traffic then keep add new new articles and try some seo, otherwise dig other sources for traffic initially and then focus on seo. You need some quick return to invest again and go longterm.

Yes, Pinterest is good source for health niche. Yes, adding more content to existing pages always a good idea, it will help you to get back on competition and don't forget to change the publish date to current date.
