    Hi
I am taking advantage of godaddy's 1.49 domain deal. I want to register a few exact match domains for my real business. but the problem is, after their freaking privacy fees, it gets so expensive.
how can i avoid these fees and still not have my name show up in a whois search?
Can I give a fake name? or can i give my business name as my first and last names?

1and1 is another option. They include private registration in the price. Other than that, they are not a good company.

As far as godaddy, see if you can change what's publicly viewable (compared to your user profile) to something like your domain name, a fake address and a free email from g00gle or yah00.
