    Hello.
Could you please help me with choosing between WAMP or XAMPP?
I'm working on a Windows (Vista) platform.
In your opinion.......which is better WAMP or XAMPP?
Are there better alternatives to either?
    Thank you.

i use them both and not so much different, but i feel wamp is simpler than xamp.
but if you want light web server and mobile you should try portable web server uniform server
so, you can put your project on flashdisk and working on any windows at any place

I use XAMPP, there's not much difference between WAMP and XAMPP for local development.

I found them both to be very similar, couldn't decide if one was better.
Try them both and go with your gut.
You are unlikely to have any issues using one in preference to the other.

    Exactly :))
I also prefer WAMP. There's not much difference between them.

    Both suck in some way.
I was working with Windows few months ago and one thing that disturbed me was that Windows does not know any CHMOD commands. You might want to consider this. However, if you're fine with that, go ahead.

I think WAMP is smaller, in terms of download size. Great, if you're impatient like me, and your internet is slow. :D

I've never tried WAMP so I can't comment on it, however I find XAMPP easy enough and it more than serves a purpose for me. Why not try both and decide for yourself?
