I watched the first one and back in the day it was the bomb... ACTUALLY that movie along with Boiler Room are the 2 movies that we were told to watch before getting into the mortgage refi biz ... as part of our broker training....

    April I believe.

I am also pretty stoked about this. First one was great.

ALso, "greed is good" BULLSHIT!!! I think the majority of people missed what Oliver Stone was trying to say with that whole bit.

Anyway, I watched a clip last week where Gekko is schooling Charlie Sheen on the ways of the world and how shit really works.
Where hes telling him the "free market" concept is malarkey, essentially saying the markets are controlled by the power elite.
Some really powerful intense shit back in 1987 in America.

And from what I heard, Oliver Stone is going to use what happen in the Financial markets in '08 & '09 and tie it into the story, from what I heard.

It will be interesting to see what how America reacts if there is more commentary like this in the sequel similar to the scene I referenced above.

I think the general public is more perceptive to this shit now.

And Yes I know it's "JUST A MOVIE"

    BUT

    Truth is the truth.

@JuicyBlack LOL, I was also told to watch Boiler Room for a sales gig in the finance industry a few years back. Are you still in the mortgage refinance biz? May have something for you if so....

You, my friend, just make my day. Wallstreet is definitely one of my favorite movies of all time. Watching it when I was younger, I always sided with Gordon Gecko, even though he was the "bad guy". Maybe it's the mindset and determination that I admire in him that turned me into a blackhatter? ;-)

I really hope they don't cheeseball this one, I have a feeling by the preview that this could be one of those that they should have never made a sequel too. Hopefully I'm wrong.

While I hate Oliver Stone, and his good buddy Hugo Chavez, I LOVE Gordon Gekko.
