So im pretty confused at the moment

Im pretty sure im making a very noobie technical mistake here.

I recently stumbled upon threads in the proxy section that show how i can use a vps as a proxy in my browser thru putty/

so i bought a vps and now i tried all the instructions nessecary but i the vps doesnt work...

i got some questions do i need to enter a root ssh key to activate my vps? wtf is that and how do i it?

do i need to put a domain on my vps for me to use it as a proxy thru putty

what am i doing wrong here, any guesses would help:amish:

Step 1: Use putty to ssh to the server to verify your server is active.
Step 2: Configure putty for the tunnel
Step 3: Launch the tunnel (you'll need to login)
Step 5: Configure your browser to use the tunnel

    You should be done.

You do not need to do anything with ssh keys. You do not need a domain.
